Since I last updated this blog, I've trying to figure out how exactly to attach the hooks to the gloves, and it's been awfully difficult! I thought about just gluing them directly onto the fabric, but there's a strong possibility that they would just tear off. So after a lot of thinking, I finally decided.
I'll just sellotape them onto a pair of latex gloves.
And then I came up with something much better.
I'll cut out some small cardboard rectangles, which I'll make into rings. Then I'll glue the sets of hooks to these cardboard rings, which will have tiny holes in them. These holes are important. You see, I decided that I'll have to attach the pieces of cardboard together to make them less likely to come away from the rest of the contraption. It would have to be using some sort of string, but I know that any string thick enough to actually make much of a difference would be much too thick to use. So I was kind of stuck.
But then I cracked it! Instead of using string, I'll use copper wire! I don't know exactly how strong that is, but I really can't envision it actually snapping. So I'll thread the wire through the hole in the cardboard and solder it to itself (though that might be a weak point where it could snap, but we'll see). Here's a diagram of how it's going to be laid out:
Now hopefully, that should work.
